These pages have been
written by me, RSBlain "a senior", to help other seniors with the very
basics of computing. I hope my entries will do that. I have
divided the pages into topics you can look at as your need arises or, read
them all and see what you think I should improve on. I have gone
over it trying to make it less confusing than any helps you might find on
the internet. If you see something still not of help, follow my link
to my Xanga site and email me from there. Read and practice
one thing at a time. It's all easy after you practice. You can
print pages out for your use.
Newcomers
to computing are very often like I used to be, afraid of their computers and what they think
they might do to destroy them by clicking
on the wrong tab or button. I can tell you there
are things you don't have free reign to do, safely, in your computer. I have probably made all of the mistakes that can be made to upset my
personal computer and my patient husband who has spent weeks more
than once, undoing things I did ... RSBlain

How Stuff Works, a super many
pages learning experience and well worth signing up for a free email.
They have much more knowledge about computing and anything else you might
want to know about than I begin to have and if the information you want isn't there, you can
email them and request they do a page on the missing subject. I
guarantee you can find something in this site that will interest you.
